Crossroads 2020
DLDAVMS, Pitampura organised its annual event, CROSSROADS 2020, an array of Interschool Competitions, initiated online this year. The event drew an overwhelming response and around 1100 students from 63 schools participated in the 15 subject related competitions proving that the nation may go into lockdown mode but creativity and talent can not be confined. Eminent judges were approached to judge the entries and e -  certificates were awarded to the winners and participants. Principal Mrs. Anita Wadehra congratulated all the participants for the commendable entries and appreciated the tireless efforts of the computer staff and teacher coordinators for the flawless planning and execution of the mega event. The Rolling Trophy for the highest overall score was awarded to Mamta Model Sr. Sec.School, H block, Vikaspuri.

Virtual Book Fair
Books are a mirror of one?s soul which enrich the mind and soothe the heart. DLDAV, Pitam Pura organized a five days Virtual Book Fair with Scholastic from 22-26 July, 2020. The Fair was inaugurated by the madam Principal Ms. Anita Wadehra, who wished that the students inculcate reading habits by reading enriched literature. The children enjoyed the Fair and ordered books online varying from science to spooky stories, from puzzles to poems and from fiction to facts. The teachers equally helped the children in selecting the books. The children wished the fair to last for a longer time as it would give them an opportunity to read and access more informative literature besides their efficiently loaded school library. In between, on 23 July, 2020, Story Telling Session was organized for students of class I & II on Zoom Platform. The story telling was done by renowned story teller Ms.Nikita Datta Gupta with puppets,PPT and activity related to story. Author Meet also was organized for the students of class VI & VII on 24 July,2020 on Zoom Platform. The students interacted with the renowned author Ms. Deepa Agarwal. Students engaged in a gripping conversation with a popular childrens author. The questions "Why did you write such a good book? Where did you get your idea from? Is the main character based on someone you know?" When the author shares a passage from a new book, the children listen with wild fascination. They shared their views and fulfill their queries regarding reading and writing with her. Students are inspired to want to read, write, and learn more about the process of writing.

It was a matter of great pride and honour when Mrs Anita Wadehra, Principal, DLDAVMS, Pitampura was selected by the DAVCMC as one of the four panelists from the country to represent the DAV Management in a face to face talk show with Bollywood actress, Vidya Balan, on the occasion of the song release of her film Shakuntala Devi to be released soon. The Webinar, specially organised for DAV schools was participated by almost 6000 students and teachers.

REJUVENATION- Motivational Address by School Chairman
DLDAVMS, Pitampura organised the first online annual event Rejuvenation- Motivational Address by Professor Ved Prakash, Retd. Chairman, UGC, Founder Vice Chancellor, NUEPA, Chairman of the school. Principal Mrs Anita Wadehra extended a warm welcome to the distinguished Chairman and the 150 staff members who had assembled online. The programme began with the auspicious Saraswati Vandana and lamp lighting ceremony followed by the release of newsletter Tech Bots. In his address to the staff, Chairman Sir emphasized on the need to transform school campuses into inspiring learning and living environment with teachers skilled in the nuances of digital learning. He spoke on how Covid- challenge was an opportunity to revisit the educational system, curriculum, instructional strategies, assessment and adapt ourselves to the need of the time. Principal Mrs Anita Wadehra expressed gratitude to Chairman Sir for his inspirational talk.

Virtual Model United Nations
.Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations, which aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations agenda, was organized on 26th July for classes I to VIII virtually on Google meet. It was the first ever virtual conference.
It provided a platform to interact and comprehend / appreciate different cultures and viewpoints. It enables students to learn to resolve the crisis / issues. It is the platform for the young ambassadors to display their act of diplomacy.
During the conference, participants employed a variety of communication and critical thinking skills in order to represent the policies of their country. These skills include public speaking, group communication, research, policy analysis, active listening, negotiating, conflict resolution, note taking.

Tree Planting Event - ENO
Since 2004 ENO organises a tree planting event for schools that coincides with the 22 May, International Day for Biological Diversity. Students of the school have participated in the activity by planting trees at homes with their family of friends as one of the activities of Tree Planting Day.
